Overview
Burns Presbyterian Church, Mosa is the only single point rural congregation
within the Presbytery of London. The church community began in 1835 and
celebrated its 175th anniversary of Christian witness and worship in 2010.
Highlights of the year of celebration included the anniversary service in April
with the Moderator of the 135th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in
Canada, The Rev. Harvey Self as guest speaker; a spirit walk in June which was
a re-enactment of major events in the history of the congregation, acted out by
church members in costume; a reunion and ballgame of past PYPS members; a
reprinting of the past congregational cookbooks incorporating historical
highlights and a new cookbook; and a new congregational photo directory.
While
we celebrate our past, we continue to work and worship in the present with
grateful hearts for all we have been given, and look forward with renewed
vigour to the future. Current programs include a youth group, choir, WMS group
and an active mission and outreach group. There are fellowship and outreach
activities every month.
A warm country welcome awaits everyone who comes through our door.
